2016 Toy Drive Background Checks

Volunteers are critical to the mission of Child Advocates, providing support by working directly with youth to help ensure our clients are in a safe environment with the resources they need to pitching in at holiday time to bring joy into the homes of our child clients.

To protect the safety and well-being of the children we serve, we are requiring all Toy Drive Drivers to complete a background check.

• Drivers must be 18 or older (passengers need not be 18).
• Background checks will be performed by InfoMart, a safe and secure background screening service. The cost is $8.
• All background checks must be completed by 12/15/16. Please note that the process may take up to 48 hours, with additional time needed for applicants with former residences in multiple states.
• Once we receive your $8 payment you will receive an email within 1 business day containing a personalized link to your background check.

If you have completed a background check in the past year, please send a copy of your clearance to agoetz@sccalaw.org or fax to 267-546-9201, attention “Toy Drive Clearance”. Child Advocates volunteer attorneys and 2014 Toy Drive Drivers do not have to undergo another background check. All paperwork of this nature will be kept confidential and safe in Child Advocates files.
